This Privacy Policy explains how Career Studio, a service operated by helloWorld ("we", "us", "our"), based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, collects, uses, and protects information when you use careerstudio.online (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect the following types of information:

• CV content you provide, such as work history, education, skills, and other details entered while building your CV.
• Contact details you submit, such as your name and email address via our Contact form.
• Photos you choose to upload for CV templates that support a profile photo.
• Payment and order information if you purchase the watermark-removal unlock, such as your country/region (used to select a payment method) and payment confirmation status. Your full card details are handled directly by PayHere or PayPal and never reach our servers.
• Usage and technical data, such as pages visited, device and browser information, and your selected language preference.

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate and guide CV content through our AI assistant.
• Render, preview, and export your CV documents.
• Respond to inquiries submitted through our Help page.
• Maintain and improve the Service.
• In the future, serve advertising that is relevant to you as we introduce advertising partners, including Google, to the Service.

When you use our AI-guided CV assistant, the content you enter in that conversation is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate suggestions and help you write your CV. Google processes this information as a third-party AI provider on our behalf, subject to Google's own privacy practices.

Your CV content, uploaded photos, and exported documents are stored using Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, and the Service itself is hosted on Vercel. These providers store and process data on our behalf and are bound to use it only to provide these infrastructure services to us.

We use a cookie to remember your selected language so the Service displays in your preferred language on return visits.

As we introduce advertising to the Service, our advertising and analytics partners (including Google) may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads that are relevant to you and to measure how those ads perform. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

• Google — processes CV content to power our AI assistant, and may in the future serve advertising on the Service.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — stores CV content, uploaded photos, and exported documents.
• Vercel — hosts the Service.
• PayHere — processes payments for the watermark-removal unlock for customers in Sri Lanka. We do not receive or store your full card details.
• PayPal — processes card payments for the watermark-removal unlock for customers outside Sri Lanka. We do not receive or store your full card details.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party vendors listed above, and only as needed to operate the Service or process a purchase.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at panda.helloworld@gmail.com or via our Help page.

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We retain your CV data for as long as your session or account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You may request that we delete or anonymize your data at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
